Rajita Sinha, Ph.D.     View Bio

Dr. Sinha is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University, Director of the Yale Stress Center and a licensed psychologist. She has expertise on the effects of stress on the brain, cognition, behavior and health. She is internationally known for her pioneering research on the mechanisms linking stress to maladaptive behaviors that affect health and reduce our ability to function optimally.

Robert Beech, M.D., Ph.D. - Department of Psychiatry (Molecular Psychiatry, Substance Abuse Center, Yale Stress Center)     View Bio

Dr. Beech is a Board certified psychiatrist and an Attending Physician at Yale New Haven Hospital and the Connecticut Mental Health Center (CMHC) and has over 10 years experience in clinical research on stress-related disorders.

Keri Tuit, Psy.D.     View Bio

Dr. Tuit is a licensed clinical psychologist and Clinical Director of the Yale Stress Center. She is also an Assistant Professor in the department of Psychiatry at Yale. Dr. Tuit’s work focuses on the application of mindfulness based stress reduction and other mind-body interventions to improve health outcomes. She also oversees the Yale Stress Center's clinical psychology internship training program.

Xoli Redmond, Psy.D.     View Bio

Dr. Redmond is a licensed clinical psychologist and serves as a clinician at the Yale Stress Center. He has expertise in mindfulness-based, cognitive-behavioral, insight-oriented and non-dual approaches. He is a trained meditation instructor with significant experience in a variety of meditative practices. He is also certified in the administration of auricular acupuncture.

Matthew Stults-Kolehmainen, Ph.D.

Dr. Stults-Kolehmainen has a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology and is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine. He is also an Assistant Professor of exercise science at Northern Illinois University. Dr. Stults-Kolehmainen researches body composition and the interface of fitness, exercise, and psychological stress, with a special focus on recovery.

Ania Jastreboff, M.D., Ph.D.     View Bio

Dr. Jastreboff is a board certified endocrinologist and pediatric endocrinologist, fellowship trained at Yale University School of Medicine. She is an Instructor at Yale in both Internal Medicine (Endocrinology) and Pediatrics (Endocrinology) and is based at the Yale Stress Center. She has expertise in caring for patients with weight concerns and weight-related conditions, such as insulin resistance, diabetes, and obesity.

Ather Ali, N.D., M.P.H.     View Bio

Dr. Ali is an Integrative Medicine Specialist at the Yale Stress Center and a research faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics at the Yale School of Medicine. He has degrees in Naturopathic medicine and epidemiology. His interests lie in chronic disease prevention and medically unexplained symptoms. He has worked on a number of clinical trials of complementary therapies, including massage, nutritional supplements, and dietary interventions. He was previously co-director of the Integrative Medicine Center at Griffin Hospital and Assistant Director of Complementary MedicineResearch at Yale’s Prevention Research Center.

Anne Dutton, M.A., R.Y.T.

Anne Dutton, M.A., R.Y.T. is certified Yoga instructor and also has expertise in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), meditation and holds a Masters Degree in Religious Studies. She has extensive experience teaching Yoga, MBSR and meditation in the broader New Haven community. She has taught these classes to adolescents, adults and seniors and those suffering with chronic diseases.

Mary Savoye, R.D., CD-N, CDE

Mary Savoye is a registered dietitian, research associate, and certified diabetes educator at Yale University, School of Medicine. She has 20 years of experience in adult and childhood obesity and diabetes. She has developed the Bright Bodies Weight Management Program, a healthy lifestyle program for families with overweight children offered at Yale.

Mary Kurjanowicz, R.N., B.S.N.

Mary Kurjanowicz, graduated from Immaculata University in Pennsylvania. She worked as a certified critical care nurse for 20 years, mostly at Community General Hospital in Reading, Pennsylvania. Mary continued her career in rehabilitative nursing in both the home care and acute care settings. She is additionally a Pennsylvania Certified CNA Instructor. Mary joined the staff of Yale Stress Center when she moved to Connecticut in 2010. She is a member of the American Association of Nurses.

Rachel Hart, M.S.

Rachel has been working in the substance abuse field for over 20 years and is a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor with a Masters Degree in Counseling. She has been at Yale for the past 15 years working predominantly with alcohol and drug dependent research participants.

Elizabeth Rathbun, M.S.

Elizabeth Rathbun is a Psy.D. candidate at University of Hartford and a clinical research associate at Yale Stress Center. She is involved in clinical and research projects on the effects of stress on the mind and body. She currently co-facilitates groups on mindfulness and conducts individual therapy focused on mindful eating and stress reduction. She completed her pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology at VA, Newington and UCONN health center with a focus in the areas of addiction, trauma and health psychology. Her specific clinical interests include evaluation and treatment of disordered eating, addictive behaviors, stress, trauma, and health psychology.
