Rajita Sinha, Ph.D.     View Bio

Dr. Sinha is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University, Director of the Yale Stress Center and a licensed psychologist. She has expertise on the effects of stress on the brain, cognition, behavior and health. She is internationally known for her pioneering research on the mechanisms linking stress to maladaptive behaviors that affect health and reduce our ability to function optimally.

Gretchen Hermes MD, PhD:     View Bio

Dr. Hermes is a board certified psychiatrist with expertise in treating anxiety, trauma and neglect, depression, addictions, chronic disease, and other stress related conditions. She provides pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy at the Yale Stress Center .

Eunjie Klegar, MD    

Dr. Klegar is a clinical psychiatrist trained at Yale School of Medicine and a practitioner of Japanese acupuncture, certified by Harvard Medical School. She has expertise in treating anxiety, trauma, depression, addiction, eating disorders and chronic diseases and provides pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy. At the Yale Stress Center she combines an integrated brain-body approach with her expertise in Japanese acupuncture (auricular and whole body) to treat a number of physical and chronic diseases, including pain and chronic back pain, migraines, Ob/Gyn fertility problems, hormonal imbalances, cardiac and vascular disorders, gastrointestinal problems, autoimmune and autonomic disorders, mood disorders, myofascial problems and scars, cosmetic acupuncture and facial rejuvenation as well as acupuncture for wellness and disease prevention.

Aryeh Herman, Psy.D.    

Dr. Herman is a licensed clinical psychologist at the Yale Stress Center. He is a research faculty member in the Yale department of Psychiatry and has conducted clinical research examining the genetic influences in addiction in veterans. He currently focuses on the mind-body connection in stress management and addiction. In addition to providing direct clinical care at the YaleStress Center, Dr. Herman supervises students, interns, and fellows in the training program both at the Yale Stress Center and at the Yale Medical School.

Xoli Redmond, Psy.D.    

Dr. Redmond is a licensed clinical psychologist and serves as a clinician at the Yale Stress Center. He has expertise in mindfulness-based, cognitive-behavioral, insight-oriented and non-dual approaches. He is a trained meditation instructor with significant experience in a variety of meditative practices. He is also certified in the administration of auricular acupuncture.

Ania Jastreboff, M.D., Ph.D.     View Bio

Dr. Jastreboff is a board certified endocrinologist and pediatric endocrinologist, fellowship trained at Yale University School of Medicine. She is an Instructor at Yale in both Internal Medicine (Endocrinology) and Pediatrics (Endocrinology) and is based at the Yale Stress Center. She has expertise in caring for patients with weight concerns and weight-related conditions, such as insulin resistance, diabetes, and obesity.

Ather Ali, N.D., M.P.H.     View Bio

Dr. Ali is an Integrative Medicine Specialist at the Yale Stress Center and a research faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics at the Yale School of Medicine. He has degrees in Naturopathic medicine and epidemiology. His interests lie in chronic disease prevention and medically unexplained symptoms. He has worked on a number of clinical trials of complementary therapies, including massage, nutritional supplements, and dietary interventions. He was previously co-director of the Integrative Medicine Center at Griffin Hospital and Assistant Director of Complementary MedicineResearch at Yale’s Prevention Research Center.

Anne Dutton, M.A., R.Y.T.

Anne Dutton, M.A., R.Y.T. is certified Yoga instructor and also has expertise in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), meditation and holds a Masters Degree in Religious Studies. She has extensive experience teaching Yoga, MBSR and meditation in the broader New Haven community. She has taught these classes to adolescents, adults and seniors and those suffering with chronic diseases.

Mary Savoye, R.D., CD-N, CDE

Mary Savoye is a registered dietitian, research associate, and certified diabetes educator at Yale University, School of Medicine. She has 20 years of experience in adult and childhood obesity and diabetes. She has developed the Bright Bodies Weight Management Program, a healthy lifestyle program for families with overweight children offered at Yale.

Mary Kurjanowicz, R.N., B.S.N.

Mary Kurjanowicz, graduated from Immaculata University in Pennsylvania. She worked as a certified critical care nurse for 20 years, mostly at Community General Hospital in Reading, Pennsylvania. Mary continued her career in rehabilitative nursing in both the home care and acute care settings. She is additionally a Pennsylvania Certified CNA Instructor. Mary joined the staff of Yale Stress Center when she moved to Connecticut in 2010. She is a member of the American Association of Nurses.

Rachel Hart, M.S.

Ms Hart has been working in the substance abuse field for over 20 years and is a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor with a Masters Degree in Counseling. She has conducted clinical research in addiction and also providing direct clinical services to treat addiction and co-morbid psychological problems. In addition, she has extensive expertise in Yoga and utilizes an integrated mind body approach providing combined yoga and psychotherapy services.

Elizabeth Rathbun, M.S.

Elizabeth is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and is finishing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She has been at Yale Stress Center since 2009 and conducts both individual and group therapy. Elizabeth co-leads the S.O.A.R. weight management program which focuses on mind-body interventions to control weight, reduce stress and improve overall health and well-being.

Keri Height, Psy.D.     View Bio

Dr. Height is a licensed clinical psychologist and led the development of establishing Clinical Services at the Yale Stress Center. Dr. Height’s work focuses on the application of mindfulness based stress reduction and other mind-body interventions to improve health outcomes. She now serves as a Consulting Clinical faculty at the Yale Stress Center and is an Assistant Professor in the department of Psychiatry at Giesel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, New Hampshire.

Matthew Stults-Kolehmainen, Ph.D.

Dr. Stults-Kolehmainen is an applied exercise physiologist (Ph.D.) and is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine. Dr. Stults-Kolehmainen researches body composition and the interface of fitness, exercise, and psychological stress, with a special focus on recovery. He is a Clinical Consultant and Research Affiliate at the Yale Stress Center and is adjunct faculty and a research fellow at Columbia University.
