How will your services help me feel better?
We offer a variety of services that promote stress reduction and optimize health function to preempt disease and prevent relapse. Please discuss the options with your clinician to determine what may be most suitable to you.
How will I know what kind of treatment is best for me?
A thorough evaluation helps us see how stress is affecting your mind and body and provide recommendations based on the specific effects it has had on you. We will provide recommendations based on the most up-to-date research with each of the specific interventions we provide and through discussion we can jointly determine the treatments most suitable to you.
Is there any evidence that treatment will be helpful?
Yes, we only provide interventions and strategies that have been studied and have some empirical support. All treatments provided are informed by research and/or based directly on clinical trials.
What happens at the first appointment?
At the first appointment, you will meet with a clinician who will speak with you about what has brought you to the Center and how we can be most helpful to you. You will complete some assessments and we will jointly come up with a plan that works best for you.
The Stress Center is open Monday through Fridays from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. Specific programs are also ongoing during the evening hours until 8 PM and on Saturdays. Please speak with your clinician about the specific programs and the times that work best for you.
