
Today’s fast paced society presents multiple demands on one’s time, energy and health. Extensive research shows that stress can come from a variety of sources, including, job and employment, living situation, marriage, loneliness, loss, family life and children, finances and income, health of self and family members, and the burden of caring for a sick loved one, can all take a toll on one’s brain, body and health. These stressors may decrease alertness and focus, memory, energy and motivation, productivity as well as affect relationships at home and at work. While it is often difficult to find time to attend to these problems, their adverse effects on health and function are often felt and observed.
